President Trump got the royal treatment upon his arrival in Saudi Arabia.
After landing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on Saturday, Trump and his wife Melania, were greeted by Saudi King Salman at the airport.
While travelling to the Royal Court in Riyadh, the Trumps received an escort of flag bearers riding on horses.
As the president entered the Royal Court, where Trump was slatted to have a bilateral meeting with King Salman, Trump informed the king that the spectacle was “very impressive,” the Associated Press reported.
Trump also received Saudi Arabia’s highest civilian honor from King Salman, who placed the Collar of Abdulaziz Al Saud around Trump’s neck during a ceremony. The honor has also been given to Russian President Vladimir Putin, British Prime Minister Theresa May and former President Barack Obama, the AP noted.
