President Trump made an unscheduled visit to the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Va., on Saturday following his speech at the USS Gerald R. Ford in Norfolk, Va.
Trump’s team traveled from Norfolk to Washington Dulles International Airport in Northern Virginia and arrived at the resort shortly after 1:30 p.m.
White House officials including chief of staff Reince Priebus, senior policy adviser Stephen Miller, and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and his wife accompanied Trump to lunch at the club.
The group may have been forced to skip the putting green because of thunderstorms that hit the Washington area Saturday afternoon.
Trump left the golf club around 5:45 p.m. and returned to the White House.
